A 17-year-old girl has been charged with aiding and abetting murder after allegedly livestreaming an attack on a San Diego mosque that resulted in the deaths of three people on May 18. The two teenage gunmen, aged 17 and 18, opened fire during the attack, which was partly aimed at recording the violence and was fueled by racist and antisemitic ideologies. The attackers had an arsenal of approximately 30 firearms, and authorities stated they had plans for further attacks, including targeting a local Jewish temple and a predominantly African American high school.
