German startup Isar Aerospace has successfully launched the first commercial rocket, the Spectrum, to reach orbit from continental Europe, marking a significant milestone for Europe’s access to space. The rocket, which carried five small satellites, launched from Andøya Spaceport in Norway 18 months after Isar's initial rocket failed shortly after takeoff. Isar aims to conduct around 40 launches annually and is also developing a second launch site in Nova Scotia, Canada, as it prepares for rapid expansion in response to growing demand in the satellite-launch market.
