In northern Gaza, families are holding funerals for about 100 individuals, including 60 children, whose remains were found in the rubble of destroyed buildings in the Zeitoun neighborhood. Gaza's civil defense reports that there are approximately 8,000 bodies still believed to be trapped under debris, with recovery operations hindered by a lack of heavy machinery; proper equipment could allow this work to be completed in about 90 days.
